This year has been full of dynamic change and embracing new opportunities.

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to garden, to raise plants for nourishment over the course of this last year. For those of us with this opportunity, may we wield our privilege to grow food. The means of production connects with the earth itself. Join local community gardens and urban farming movements. Use finances to support organizations like Phat Beets, at this moment they are continuing the legacy of the food justice work initiated by the Black Panthers. Currently they need resources and are fundraising for a Food Justice Food Truck: https://www.generosity.com/community-fundraising/support-youth-jobs-the-food-justice-food-truck–2
I’ve been deeply supported by many people in my life this year. Finding areas we’re abundant and leveraging them to improve our communities is something all of us can do. If you enjoy sewing and can mend clothes, share your skills. If you have logistics capabilities, volunteer and help organize events. If you’re social, reach out and build your local community’s interconnection, set up ways for people to know how to share their resources more effectively with one another. If you have food, share it with those who hunger. This isn’t a call to burn yourself out, but just to embrace opportunities where your gifts can make a difference.
If one of the areas that you are abundant is financial resources. Please contact me about purchasing a poster, trans medical procedures like electrolysis have wiped out my finances and I’d love to exchange art for financial support.
As long as massive systems that have profit as their priority manage our food supply, we are at risk. Food is one of the resources that every single human on this planet needs, this isn’t optional. So why as a species do we demand the necessity of money for something that everyone needs?
May people in your life take up these same patterns, may there be an abundance of what each of you need. All beings deserve food. All beings deserve water. All beings deserve health. All beings deserve shelter. All beings deserve education.
